POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist University softball team (15-17 overall, 9-1 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) will travel to Iona (11-16, 6-6) for a three-game series this weekend.

The Red Foxes and Gaels will play a doubleheader on Saturday, followed by a single game on Sunday. First pitch both days is set for noon.

- Marist dropped four games in last weekend's Mizuno Showdown, with two apiece against host North Carolina and nationally-ranked Arizona State. The Red Foxes' last MAAC contests came at Mount St. Mary's on March 24, which was a doubleheader sweep for the Red Foxes.
- Maia Salvo is the reigning MAAC Rookie of the Week. Salvo was a catalyst in the Red Foxes' sweep at Mount St. Mary's, and she had a two-homer game against Arizona State on March 28.
- Eight different Red Foxes have won MAAC weekly awards this season, and Marist has won a total of nine awards.
- Salvo has three homers, five RBIs, and six runs scored in her last seven games. She is hitting .353 in that span.
