POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – Freshman guard
Noah Harris of Marist men's basketball was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week on Monday.
The Marist freshman averaged 13.7 points per game on .500 shooting from the field and .522 shooting from three. Harris also averaged 2.3 rebounds and added three assists and two steals on the week. Harris hit on 12-of-his-23 attempts from deep this week, including knocking down seven in one game against Quinnipiac. The seven threes made in a game were one-shy of the Red Foxes single-game program record. His 24 points against Quinnipiac was a career high.
Harris' first Rookie of the Week honor is the sixth for the Red Foxes this season. Fellow guard
Jao Ituka has been named Rookie of the Week five times prior.
The Marist men's basketball team gets a week off before returning to action on Sunday, February 6
th against Saint Peter's.
