EDISON, New Jersey -Â The Marist women's lacrosse team was picked sixth in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll. The Red Foxes earned 41 points in the poll and ranked behind Quinnipiac (43 points).Â

Due to COVID-19 last season, the women's lacrosse team played only 8 of their 11 scheduled games.They finished the season with an overall record of 3-5. The Red Foxes fell short in the quarterfinals of the MAAC Championships, against Fairfield with a final score of 14-13.Â

Additionally, for the Marist Women's Lacrosse team, student-athlete
Kerri Gutenberger was named to the preseason All-MAAC team as an attack. As a sophomore, Gutenberger started in all eight games for the Red Foxes in the 2021 season. In total, she collected 17 goals with a .378% shooting percentage.Â

The Marist women's lacrosse team is set to start their season on Feb. 20th at UMass Lowell. The game is scheduled to start at 1 p.m.Â
