Women's Basketball Falls to Green Bay

Donnelly Collects Double-Double

GREEN BAY, Wisconsin – The Marist women's basketball team fell to Green Bay Saturday afternoon in a non-conference game, 74-45. A strong second half from the Phoenix propelled them over the Red Foxes.
 
Summary
  • Green Bay took an early 6-2 lead two minutes into the first quarter. Closing out the first quarter leading the Red Foxes 19-12.
  • The Phoenix opened the second quarter going on a 7-0 run to extend their lead to 12. Kiara Fisher ended the Red Foxes' scoring drought with a driving layup with 4:30 remaining in the second quarter.
  • To end the half, Marist went on a 9-2 run to cut the Phoenix lead to seven, 28-21. At half, Maeve Donnelly leads the team with nine points and six rebounds.
  • In the third quarter, Green Bay outscored Marist 23-11, extending their lead to 51-32.
  • In the fourth quarter, the Red Foxes get into foul trouble. Six of the thirteen points for the Phoenix came from the free throw line with three minutes remaining.
  • To finish the quarter, Green Bay outscored the Red Foxes to hold the advantage 74-45 over Marist.
