SAN DIEGO, California - Marist Water Polo dropped the first two games of the Triton Invitational on Saturday in San Diego.

In game one, Marist was defeated by UC Irvine by a final score of 14-5. Sawyer Alter found the back of the net twice for the Red Foxes, with both goals coming in the second half. Kaylee Brard, Kathryn McCullough, and Viktoria Orlova each added a goal for Marist.

In game two, Marist took a 7-6 lead into halftime, but California State University Northridge came out strong in the second half to take down Marist, 13-10. Myriam Lizotte and Viktoria Orlova each scored three goals, and Madeline Schultz scored twice to pace the Red Foxes.

The Red Foxes resume play tomorrow at 8:40 a.m. Their opponent is still to be determined.
