POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist softball team hits the road again this weekend, this time to DeLand, Florida, for the Hatter Classic. They will play games against the University of Rhode Island, host Stetson University, and Harvard University.
The Red Foxes enter the weekend at 1-4 after last weekend's season-opening tournament at UNC Wilmington. Marist won its final contest of the weekend, 3-0 against Bucknell, behind a shutout from Meghan Haff and home runs from Caroline Baratta and Hannah Brock.
Shea Walsh led the Red Foxes with a .412 batting average last weekend, while Kiley Myers had an 0.75 ERA in 9.1 innings.
