PROVIDENCE, Rhode Island - The Marist Water Polo team won their first two games of the season over Saint Francis (PA) and Pomona-Pitzer at the Bruno Classic in Rhode Island.

• Marist jumped out to a quick start, leading 3-1 after the first period.
• Marist junior India Alter led the charge with two goals in the first period.
• Madeline Schultz found the back of the net three times, bringing her season total to 9 goals.
• The 13 Red Fox goals is a season high so far.

• Marist started the game off hot, scoring two goals in the first few minutes of the game. 
• Behind two goals from both Sawyer Alter and Viktoria Orlova, the Red Foxes took a 7-3 lead into halftime.
• Marist outscored Pomona-Pitzer in the second half 5-4, to secure the 12-7 win.
• Nine Red Foxes scored a goal in the victory.

• Marist Water Polo heads out west to San Diego, California for the Triton Invitational next weekend.
• Their first game will be on Saturday, February 12th at 12 p.m. against UC-Irvine. 
• Marist last competed in the Triton Invitational in 2020 and went 2-2 on the weekend.
