Red Foxes Score Season High 24 Goals

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York - Behind a season high 24 goals, the Marist water polo team defeated Siena on Saturday afternoon by a final score of 24-10.

  • Siena jumped out to an early lead, but the Red Foxes were able to battle back, leading 5-4 after the first quarter.
  • Eight second quarter goals gave Marist a 13-7 halftime lead.
  • Marist came out in the second half red hot, scoring seven goals in the third quarter to take a 20-10 lead into the final frame.
  • Marist shutout Siena in the fourth quarter while adding four goals to win by a final score of 24-10.
  • Marina Hyham had seven saves in net.
  • Madeline Schultz led the Red Foxes with six goals, while Viktoria Orlova finished with four goals.
  • India Alter and Fallon Burnworth each had three goals in victory.

  • The Red Foxes play host to Saint-Francis Brooklyn tomorrow, March 20th at 5 pm.
