POUGHKEEPSIE, New York - Marist water polo dropped its final two conference matchups on Saturday, falling to LIU and Wagner.

Marist lost a close one to LIU, giving up two late goals to lose 12-10. Against Wagner, the Red Foxes entered halftime tied but couldn't hold off the Seahawks' offense, falling 14-5.
 

• Marist took an early 1-0 lead on a Madeline Schultz goal, but LIU battled back to tie the game at three at the end of the first quarter.
• LIU shut down Marist in the second period, outscoring the Red Foxes 3-1 to take a 6-4 lead into halftime.
• The Red Foxes came out of halftime strong, scoring four third quarter goals.
• Tied with two minutes left in regulation, LIU scored two late goals to win, 12-10.
• Viktoria Orlova led the Red Foxes with four goals, and Madeline Schultz scored two goals.

• Two first quarter goals from Viktoria Orlova had the Red Foxes and Seahawks knotted at two apiece entering the second quarter.
• Madeline Schultz scored just 23 seconds into the second quarter to give Marist a 3-2 advantage. After a back-and-forth second quarter, Marist and Wagner were tied at four apiece entering halftime.
• Four quick goals from Wagner gave the Seahawks an 8-4 advantage midway through the third quarter. Wagner continued the scoring all quarter, finding the back of the net seven times in the third to take an 11-5 lead into the fourth frame.
• The Seahawks outscored Marist 10-1 in the second half.
• Viktoria Orlova led the Red Foxes with two goals on the evening.

• Marist is now 24-13 (11-4 MAAC) and will now look to make a postseason run, starting with the MAAC Championship (April 23-24) at McCann Natatorium.
