POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – Marist will be hosting Long Island University in the semifinal round of the MAAC Water Polo Championship this Saturday. They enter the matchup on a two-game skid after winning their previous nine matches.
 

• Saturday, April 23: vs. LIU (3 p.m.)
• Sunday, April 24: championship game (2 p.m.) or consolation game (11 a.m.)

• The Red Foxes finished the regular season against the top two teams in the MAAC: Wagner and LIU. They lost a close battle to LIU 12-10 and could not hold off Wagner in a 14-5 loss.
• Over the two-game stretch, senior Viktoria Orlova was the highest scorer, netting four goals against LIU and two goals against Wagner.
• In the match against LIU, the two teams were tied at 10 with two minutes remaining before LIU scored two late goals to take the match.
• In the match against Wagner, the two teams were tied at four at halftime, but Marist was outscored 10-1 in the second half.

• The Sharks finished the season 24-6, 13-2 in the MAAC.
• They won 10 of their last 11 matches of the season, finishing with a win over Marist.
• The Sharks top scorer is Paola Dominguez with 85 points (77 goals and 8 assists).
• Their goalkeeper Julia Zebak has 101 saves and a save percentage of .305.
• The Red Foxes lost their only match of the season to the Sharks.

• Depending on the outcome of Saturday's game, the Red Foxes will either play in the consolation game at 11 a.m. against the loser of Wagner/La Salle or the championship game at 2 p.m. against the winner of Wagner/La Salle.
