PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania - The Marist water polo team completed its perfect weekend on Sunday, defeating La Salle and Villanova on the road to extend their win streak to six games.

The Red Foxes defeated La Salle, 10-9, in their first game of the day. In their second game, Marist outlasted Villanova in an overtime thriller, 13-12. 

• Marist trailed 2-1 at the end of the first quarter, but erupted for four second quarter goals to tie the game at the half. 
• Tightening up on defense, the Red Foxes held the Explorers to just four second half goals.
• Offensively, the Red Foxes battled enough to score five goals in the second half leading them to a 10-9 win.
• Viktoria Orlova continued her dominant shooting with three more goals on three shots. 
• Marina Hyham tallied 11 saves in the victory, holding down the Marist defense.

• The first quarter was back-and-forth between the Wildcats and Red Foxes, with both teams scoring three goals.
• Marist got going offensively in the second frame, scoring five goals to bring a 8-5 lead into the half.
• Villanova made some halftime adjustments, outscoring the Red Foxes 7-4 in the second half to force overtime.
• Entering overtime tied at 12, Myriam Lizotte found the back of the net to win the game for Marist.
• Lizotte and Madeline Schultz each had three goals to lead the Red Foxes.
• Viktoria Orlova and Ella Baumgarten had two goals apiece, while Marina Hyham collected seven saves in net.

• Marist is now 21-11 (8-2 MAAC) and will regroup this week before heading to Lexington City, Virginia for games against VMI and Saint Francis-Brooklyn on Saturday, April 9.
