POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – This weekend, Marist softball will play six games in the Hawaii Invitational. The Red Foxes have will have two games apiece against Seattle, St. Bonaventure, and host Hawaii.

This is the Red Foxes' first trip to Hawaii since 2017.

• The Red Foxes went 1-4 in their season-opening tournament at Winthrop.
• Marist's win was a 9-1 triumph in six innings on Feb. 17.
• Freshman Haley Ahr was named MAAC Player and Rookie of the Week after hitting .438 with a 1.250 OPS, a home runs, and six RBIs.
• Graduate Calista Phippen was named MAAC Co-Pitcher of the Week after striking out 15 and walking just one over 12 innings with a 1.75 ERA.

Scouting Seattle

• The Redhawks have an overall record of 7-3
• Their three losses came from Iowa State, Rutgers, and UC Davis.
• Seattle has three hitters batting over .400 and a team ERA of 2.18.

 

Scouting Hawaii

• Hawaii has an overall record of 7-4
• Hawaii is coming off a 4-1 performance at the UNLV Desert Classic.
• Hawaii has a .320 team batting average and 3.29 team ERA.

 

Scouting St. Bonaventure

• The Bonnies will open their season on Friday against Seattle.
• St. Bonaventure went 8-38 in 2022.
