Marist Football Announces Staff Promotion & Addition

Tosches Takes Over As Offensive Coordinator, Chapman Hired as Offensive Line Coach

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – Marist head football coach Jim Parady has announced a promotion and addition on his staff for the upcoming season. Casey Tosches will be the Red Foxes' new offensive coordinator, and Ben Chapman has been hired as offensive line coach.

"We're excited about our offensive staff," Parady said. "Casey Tosches has done a terrific job in multiple roles for us over the last five years. He has earned the opportunity to be our offensive coordinator. Ben Chapman comes to our staff with a variety of experiences as a coach and a player that will serve us well. His mentality toward offensive line play is a perfect fit for our program."

Tosches is entering his sixth season on Marist's staff. In addition to serving as offensive coordinator, he will also serve as running backs coach, a role he took over heading into the 2022 season. From 2018-21, Tosches was the Red Foxes' tight ends coach. He also served as assistant special teams coordinator from 2019-22.

Prior to his arrival at Marist, Tosches was tight ends/fullbacks coach in addition to being the video coordinator at Stonehill in 2017. He worked with the wide receivers and fullbacks at Springfield from 2015-16 and was the team's passing game coordinator in 2016. In the 2014 season, he was offensive quality control coach and assistant wide receivers coach at Princeton.

"I am extremely excited about the opportunity to lead the offense," Tosches said. "We are going to be smart, disciplined, and tough, and we are going to attack in some new ways moving forward."

Chapman's most recent stop was Stonehill, where he was an offensive analyst last season. Prior to that, he served as assistant offensive line coach at his alma mater, UConn, from 2018-21. He had previously served as defensive line coach at Stonehill (2017), inside linebackers coach at Castleton (2015-16), and offensive and defensive line coach at Stonington High School in Connecticut (2013-14). He also had stints as video coordinator and recruiting coordinator at Castleton.

Chapman played collegiately as a center at UConn from 2008-11. In his playing career, the Huskies went to three bowl games and won the 2010 Big East championship. He went on to be a player-coach for Monash Warriors in Australia in 2013.

"I am so excited to join the Marist College football program," Chapman said. "We are going to be a physical and relentless offensive line that is going to wear down opponents."

The Marist football team is a member of the Pioneer Football League. The Red Foxes joined the PFL in 2009 and won a share of the league title in 2013.
