NEW ROCHELLE, New York- The Marist water polo team prepares for the final weekend of regular season matches. The Red Foxes finish the season against three MAAC opponents on April 15 and April 16.

The Red Foxes moved into the College Water Polo Association's Top 25 rankings for their efforts against Wagner and LIU. Marist sits at 25 in the latest rankings.

 

Last Time Out

• The Red Foxes played two MAAC matches against 16^th ranked Wagner and 23^rd ranked LIU.
• Marist fell in double overtime to Wagner 14-13 in the first match.
• In the second match, the Red Foxes defeated Long Island University 12-8.
• The Red Foxes moved to 9-1 in MAAC play and 20-9 overall.
• Inés Sánchez won MAAC Defensive Player of the Week for her impressive performances against the two teams.
• Viktoria Orlova scored eight goals in two matches for the Red Foxes.
• Ella Baumgarten scored six goals in two matches for the Red Foxes.

• In the first match, the Red Foxes compete against Mount St. Mary's.
  • The Mount holds a 14-9 overall record and 6-5 MAAC play record for the 2023 season.
  •  In the Villanova weekend matches, the Mount swept both La Salle and Villanova.
    • 20-8 win over La Salle
    • 13-10 win over Villanova
  • The game is slated for April 15 at 10 a.m.
• The Red Foxes compete against St. Francis College Brooklyn in the second match.
  • St. Francis holds a 13-7 overall record and 4-6 MAAC record for the 2023 season.
  • The Terriers lost two games last weekend against LIU and La Salle.

  • The game is slated for April 15 at 2 p.m.
• In the final match of the regular season, the Red Foxes compete against Iona University.
  • The Gaels hold a 14-11 overall record and 5-5 MAAC record.
