POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist softball team returns to action on Saturday against Saint Peter's at Gartland Field.
 
Saturday's doubleheader is set for a noon start. Both games will be broadcast on the Red Fox Network.
 

About Marist

• Marist has won a season-high four straight games and is 3-1 in MAAC play.
• Since returning from its Spring Break trip, Marist is 6-1. The Red Foxes have averaged 8.0 runs per game and won four games by the mercy rule.
• Haley Ahr has a team-leading batting average of .396 with a team-best 33 RBIs. She also leads the team with 12 doubles.
• Sam Freeland has team-best 23 runs scored, followed by Peyton Pusey with 21.
• Calista Phippen leads the team in wins (eight), ERA (2.05), WHIP (1.28), complete games (nine), innings pitched (82), and strikeouts (85)

 

About Saint Peter's

• The Peacocks are 17-9 overall and 0-2 in MAAC play.
• They are coming off a 4-3 win against Coppin State on Wednesday but dropped both ends of a MAAC doubleheader at Siena on Monday.
• Jess Forte leads the team with a .420 batting average, five home runs and 17 RBIs.
• Sydney Palmer has a 5-3 record with a 2.01 ERA and three saves in 14 games. Sydney Senerchia has a 9-2 record with an ERA of 2.43 in 12 games.
