POUGHKEEPSIE, New York- The Marist baseball team released its schedule for the upcoming 2024 season. The Red Foxes play 52 games during the regular season starting on Feb. 16 against the defending Sun Belt champions, Southern Mississippi.
 

Southeast Road Trip

• The Red Foxes begin the 2024 campaign against Southern Mississippi in a three-game series.
  • The Golden Eagles enter the 2024 season as the defending champions of the Sun Belt Conference.
  • The Golden Eagles advanced to the College World Series Super Regional against Tennessee. The Golden Eagles dropped two of three games against the Volunteers in the Super Regional.
  • The series begins on Feb. 16 and concludes Feb. 18.
• The Red Foxes continue their Southeast stint against the University of South Florida Bulls.
  • The Bulls finished the 2023 season with a 21-39 overall record in the American Athletic Conference.
  • The series against the Bulls begins Feb. 25 and concludes Feb. 25.

 

NY State of Mind

• The Red Foxes return to New York for four games against two opponents to begin March.
• The Red Foxes play a three-game series against Columbia beginning on March 1.
  • Columbia defeated Marist in their one-game match last season.
  • The Lions finished 23-22 last season, falling in the Ivy League Tournament against Princeton.
  • The series begins on March 1 and concludes March 3.
• The Red Foxes travel to the Bronx for a midweek game against Fordham.
  • Last season, the Red Foxes defeated the Rams 11-2 at McCann Field.
  • The game is slated for March 6.

 

Country Road(s) Trip

The Red Foxes travel to Virginia for seven games, including two series and one midweek game.

• Starting in Virginia, the Red Foxes compete in a three-game series against Richmond.
  • The Spiders finished the 2023 season 27-28 overall and 19-11 in Atlantic 10 play.
  • The Spiders fell in the A10 tournament with a loss against Saint Joseph's.
  • The series begins on March 8 and concludes March 16.
• The Red Foxes play in a midweek game against Virginia Tech on March 12.
  • The Hokies finished 30-23 overall in the 2023 season and 12-17 in ACC play.
  • The Hokies dropped two games in the ACC Baseball Championship (Boston College, Clemson), ending their season.
• The Red Foxes finish the road trip in Virginia with a three-game series against Radford University.
  • The Highlanders finished 10-45 overall and 2-25 in Big South play during the 2023 season.
  • The series begins on March 15 and concludes March 17.

 

MAAC Slate

• The Red Foxes begin MAAC play in a three-game series against Saint Peter's.
  • The series begins March 22 and concludes March 24 in Jersey City, New Jersey.
• The Red Foxes begin their first homestand with a three-game series against Niagara.
  • The Red Foxes look to begin play at McCann Field with success.
  • The series begins March 28 and concludes March 30.
• On April 5, the Red Foxes travel for a three-game series against Mount St. Mary's.
  • The series begins on April 5 and concludes on April 7.
• The Red Foxes play two consecutive MAAC series at home in April.
  • A three-game series against Rider begins on April 12 and concludes April 14.
  • A three-game series against Manhattan begins on April 19 and concludes April 21.
• Canisius hosts the Red Foxes for a series which begins on April 26.

• The Red Foxes travel to the military academy for a consecutive season against Army on April 23.
• Marist and UAlbany play a home-and-home series during the 2024 season.
  • The Red Foxes host the Great Danes on April 9.
  • The Great Danes host the Red Foxes on April 30.
• The Red Foxes finish the season against UMASS Lowell with a double header on May 16.
