Water Polo Drops Final Two Matches of UCSB Winter Invitational

Red Foxes Racked Up 20 Goals In Two Matches Vs Ranked Opponents

SANTA BARBARA, California- The Marist water polo team concluded the UCSB Winter Invitational, Sunday afternoon. The Red Foxes dropped the final two matches of the Invitational, falling to 1-3 on the 2024 season.

 
Match One Vs #10 UC San Diego
  • The Red Foxes fell behind at the end of the first quarter, trailing 5-2.
  • With the match going into halftime, the Red Foxes trailed 8-3 against the Tritons.
  • The Red Foxes scored three goals in the third quarter, but still trailed12-6 after three quarters of play.
  • The Red Foxes fell 15-8 against the Tritons in the first match of day two.

  • Pomona-Pitzer outscored the Red Foxes 4-3 in the third quarter, taking an 11-10 led into the final frame.
