HAMDEN, Connecticut - The Marist men's and women's tennis teams competed in the MAAC Master's Tournament over the weekend in the competition's first ever iteration.
 

Women's Results

Doubles
Round of 32

• Ellen Zureick and Viktoria Lorentzon went through on a BYE.
• Cloe Clements Sorde and Caterina Assi went through on a BYE.

Round of 16

• Ellen Zureick and Viktoria Lorentzon defeated Merrimack's Kiana Thompson and Caitlin McLoughlin (6-4).
• Caterina Assi and Cloe Clements Sorde defeated Rider's Maria Buss and Elle Catanzarite (6-4).

Quarterfinals

• Ellen Zureick and Viktoria Lorentzon defeated Fairfield's Nicolette Loeffler and Maeve Cassidy (6-3)
• Caterina Assi and Cloe Clements Sorde were defeated by Siena's Manuela Gomez and Laia Giralt (6-3)

Semifinals

• Ellen Zureick and Viktoria Lorentzon fell to Sacred Heart's Ola Irla-Bartyzel and Aina Garriga Martinez (6-4).

Singles
Round of 32

• Caterina Assi defeated Siena's Zaara Omar (3-6, 6-4, [10-2]).
• Cloe Clements Sorde went through on a BYE.
• Viktoria Lorentzon defeated Merrimack's Caitlyn Mcloughlin (6-3, 6-4).

Round of 16

• Caterina Assi was victorious over Sacred Heart's Ola Irla-Brtyzel (4-6, 7{7}-6{3}, [11-9])
• Cloe Clements Sorde defeated Rider's Maria Buss (2-6, 6-4, [10-7])
• Viktoria Lorentzon was defeated by Quinnipiac's Willow Renton (6-1, 7-5).

Quarterfinals

• Caterina Assi defeated Quinnipiac's Vera Sekerina (6-4, 6-1).
• Cloe Clements Sorde fell to Quinnipiac's Willow Renton (7-5, 6-0, [10-2]

Semifinals

• Caterina Assi defeated Quinnipiac's Willow Renton to move on to the finals. (6-1, 1-6, [11-9])

Finals

• Caterina Assi fell to Fairfield's Anna Neyestani (6-1, 6-3).

• Jose Catala and Nick Suhanitski went through on a BYE
• Tomas Gomez and Augustin Damonte went through on a BYE

• Jose Catala and Nick Suhanitski were victorious over Siena's Maxwell Acri and Emilio Zavala Salinas (7-5)
• Tomas Gomez and Augustin Damonte were defeated by Niagara's Rohan Srivastava and Gurustat Singh Makkar (6-1)

Quarterfinals

• Jose Catala and Nick Suhanitski defeated Mount Saint Mary's Filippos Zachiotis and Roy Alexi (6-1)

Semifinals

• Jose Catala and Nick Suhanitski fell to eventual champions, Niagara's Tanner Bedard and Vid Maric. (6-3)

Singles

• Jose Catala defeated Quinnipiac's James Lorenzetti (6-3, 6-4)
• Merrimack's Kabir Chhabria retired due to injury allowing Augustin Damonte to move onto the Round of 16. (4-6, 3-0, RET[inj])
• Nick Suhanitski fell to Quinnipiac's Finn Burridge (6-2, 6-3).

• Jose Catala fell to Fairfield's Kacper Krolikowski (6{5}-7{7}, 7{7}-6{5}, [10-4].
• Augustin Damonte fell to Rider's Dhruv Tangri (6-2, 7{7}-6{5})
