POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – A total of four Marist basketball players were named Academic All-District by College Sports Communicators (CSC) on Tuesday.
Zaria Shazer,
Ciara Croker, and
Jackie Piddock from the women's team earned the honor, while
Jackson Price from the men's team was also honored.

Women
Shazer was named Academic All-District for the third straight year. She was a Third Team All-MAAC selection who was named to the MAAC All-Academic Team. Shazer is a Psychology major.

A Business Administration major, Croker was named Academic All-District for the first time. She was named to the MAAC All-Academic Team this season.

Piddock is a Psychology major who was named Academic All-District for the first time. She was named to the MAAC All-Academic Team this season.

Men
Price is a Psychology major who was named Academic All-District for the first time. He is in his first year at Marist after transferring from The Citadel.

The CSC Academic All-District teams recognize standouts on the classroom and on the floor. Eligibility requirements include being of at least sophomore standing athletically and academically, having a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.5, and meeting playing time requirements with regard to games played or starts.
