POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist softball team (21-8 overall, 3-0 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) plays its first road conference series of the season as the Red Foxes travel to Niagara (9-11, 2-1 MAAC).

The Red Foxes and Purple Eagles will play a doubleheader on Friday starting at 1 p.m. The teams will close out the three-game series with a single game on Saturday at noon.

- The Red Foxes are coming off a three-game sweep of Quinnipiac last weekend, prevailing by scores of 7-1, 2-0, and 14-0.
- Anna Sidlowski, who shut out Quinnipiac in the second game of the series, was named MAAC Co-Rookie of the Week on Tuesday. It's the second straight week and fourth time this season Sidlowski has been honored by the conference.
- Peyton Pusey (32), Miah McDonald (28), and Haley Ahr (21) rank 1-2-3 in the MAAC in runs scored.
- Ahr leads the MAAC in batting average (.444).
- McDonald is first in home runs (eight) and RBIs (37).
- Sidlowski and Kiley Myers and tied for conference best with nine wins.
- Myers leads the MAAC in innings pitched (82) and is tied for first in strikeouts (74).

- The Purple Eagles have won four of their last five.
- Niagara started conference play by winning two out of three at Manhattan last weekend. Niagara swept a doubleheader last Friday, prevailing 7-4 in 10 innings and then 7-1. Manhattan took the third game on Sunday, 8-4.
- The Purple Eagles then swept Buffalo in a non-conference doubleheader on Tuesday, winning 4-3 and 13-10.
- Niagara is second in the MAAC in team batting average (.298), trailing only Marist (.315).
- Lindsay Mayo leads the Purple Eagles in batting average (.394) and runs scored (16).
- Maddie Hickingbottom leads Niagara in ERA (3.45), innings pitched (65), and strikeouts (56). Her four wins are tied for the team lead with Julia Thompson.

- The Red Foxes will play a single non-conference game against Cornell on Wednesday at 1 p.m.
