LOUDONVILLE, New York- The Marist water polo team return home with a MAAC sweep of matches, Saturday afternoon. The Red Foxes defeated Siena 14-10 in the first match of the day, and triumphed against Iona 10-9 in the final match.

The Red Foxes improve to 7-2 in MAAC play on the 2024 season.

The water polo team honors Kaylee Brard and Lauren Kwan on Senior Day on April 14. The ceremony is set to begin at 4:50 p.m. before the Red Foxes match against Iona.
 

Match One Vs Siena

• At the end of the first quarter, the Red Foxes and Saints were tied at 3-3.
• The Red Foxes scored four goals and limited the Saints to three goals in the second quarter.
  • The Red Foxes led 7-6 at halftime of the first match.
• In the third quarter, the Red Foxes maintained a one goal lead over the Saints with four goals in the quarter.
  • The Red Foxes led 11-10 going into the final frame.
• The Red Foxes blanked the Saints in the final frame while scoring three goals.
  • The Red Foxes defeated the saints 14-10 in the first match at Siena.
• Rachel Dean led the Red Foxes with a game-high four goals in the win.

Match Two Vs Iona

• The Red Foxes trailed 2-1 against Iona after the first quarter of play.
• The Red Foxes and Gaels scored two goals each in the second quarter, which kept Iona in the lead.
  • The Red Foxes trailed 4-3 at halftime of the second match.
• The Red Foxes outscored Iona 4-2 in the third quarter, taking a 7-6 lead into the final quarter of play.
• The Red Foxes defeated Iona 10-9 in the final match of the day.
• Rachel Dean and Kendell De Beer scored three goals each in the win.
• Kaylee Brard recorded a pair of goals in the win.
