Women’s Basketball's Conference Schedule Announced

Red Foxes Open Conference Play on the Road

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference announced the 2024-25 women's basketball conference schedule on Wednesday, July 24.
 
The Red Foxes will play 20 conference games, hosting 10 at McCann Arena. Due to the total of 13 conference members after the addition of Sacred Heart and Merrimack, each team will play eight teams twice and four teams once. Of Marist's 12 conference opponents, the Red Foxes will play Rider, Quinnipiac, Manhattan, and Sacred Heart once.

Marist opens its MAAC slate on the road at Mount Saint Mary's on Dec. 19, before returning to McCann Arena for its MAAC home opener against Manhattan on Dec. 21. After the holiday break, the Red Foxes will open 2025 at home against Iona on Jan. 2.

Marist hits the road for back-to-back matchups against Quinnipiac (Jan. 4) and Fairfield (Jan. 11), before returning to Poughkeepsie to host Saint Peter's (Jan. 16). The Red Foxes will make a quick trip to Rider on Jan. 18, before hosting Niagara (Jan. 23) and Canisius (Jan. 25).

The Red Foxes wrap up the month of January with a road matchup with Siena on the 30th, followed by hosting Fairfield (Feb. 6), before a road date with Iona (Feb. 8). Marist welcomes Siena (Feb. 13) and Merrimack (Feb. 15) to Poughkeepsie before heading north to Buffalo for dates against Canisius (Feb. 20) and Niagara (Feb. 22).

Marist closes February with a home date with Sacred Heart on the 27th, followed by back-to-back road contests at Saint Peter's (March 1) and Merrimack (March 6). The Red Foxes will close its regular season at home against Mount St. Mary's on March 8 before heading to Atlantic City for the MAAC Championships that open on March 11.

The women's basketball team currently has 11 MAAC Championships, marking the most in MAAC women's basketball history. Marist is heading into its second season under Erin Doughty's leadership in 2024-25. Season tickets are on sale now, and more information is available HERE.
