PROVIDENCE, Rhode Island- The Marist water polo team dominated day two of the Bruno Classic, Saturday afternoon. The Red Foxes scored a combined 41 goals in two matches to defeat Redlands and Villanova.

The Red Foxes improve to 2-1 on the 2025 season, and 1-0 in MAAC play.
 

Match One Vs Redlands

• The Red Foxes took a dominating lead in the first quarter, outscoring Redlands 8-0.
• Going into the half, the Red Foxes limited the Redlands to one goal while scoring five more.
  • The Red Foxes took a 13-1 lead into the half.
• The Red Foxes blanked the Redlands in the third quarter, outscoring the Redlands 6-0, and took a 19-1 lead into the final quarter of play.
• The Red Foxes earned their first win in dominant fashion, winning 25-2.

• Marist responded with four goals in the second to carry a 7-6 lead into the half, a lead the Red Foxes would never relinquish again
• The two sides traded scores in the third, with Marist outpacing Villanova 4-3 to take an 11-9 advantage into the fourth
• The Red Foxes never wavered, dominating the fourth quarter, 5-2, to take the 16-11 victory
