SANTA CLARA, California- The Marist water polo team finished an outstanding weekend at the Bronco Invite, Sunday afternoon. The Red Foxes split the two matches on the final day of competition, defeating Cal State Monterey Bay 18-9.
The Red Foxes went an impressive 3-1 on the weekend, upsetting two opponents in the process. The Red Foxes improved to 6-5 on the 2025 season, remaining 2-0 in MAAC play.
- The Red Foxes were outscored 4-1 against the Spartans in the first quarter of the match.
- In the second quarter, the Red Foxes scored two goals to end the quarter after trailing 7-1.
- In the third quarter, San Jose State would outscore the Red Foxes 3-2, taking a 10-5 lead into the final frame.
