SANTA CLARA, California- The Marist water polo team finished an outstanding weekend at the Bronco Invite, Sunday afternoon. The Red Foxes split the two matches on the final day of competition, defeating Cal State Monterey Bay 18-9.

The Red Foxes went an impressive 3-1 on the weekend, upsetting two opponents in the process. The Red Foxes improved to 6-5 on the 2025 season, remaining 2-0 in MAAC play.
 

Match One Vs 18 San Jose State

• The Red Foxes were outscored 4-1 against the Spartans in the first quarter of the match.
• In the second quarter, the Red Foxes scored two goals to end the quarter after trailing 7-1.
  • Goals by Kendell De Beer and Samantha Bentley scored the Red Foxes goals, which cut the lead to 7-3 at the half.
• In the third quarter, San Jose State would outscore the Red Foxes 3-2, taking a 10-5 lead into the final frame.
• The Red Foxes would make a comeback attempt with three late goals in the final quarter, but fell short to 18 San Jose State 11-8.
