POUGHKEEPSIE, New York - Marist women's lacrosse came up short against Army, 16-6, in its home opener at Tenney Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.

- Army's offense came out of the gates hot, scoring in the first 18 seconds of the contest.
- Marist was shutout in the opening frame, as Army carried a 4-0 lead into the second.
- Kate Gaven opened the scoring for the Red Foxes with her first goal of the season.
- Anne Shine followed with her second score of the year with 3:18 remaining in the half.
- Jesse Manger was credited with assists on both of Marist's first-half goals.
- Army continued to apply pressure on the Red Fox defense, logging five goals in the second period to hold a 9-2 lead at halftime.
