POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist University (7-2) softball team will play five games from Friday through Sunday at the Stetson Invitational.

• Saturday, Feb. 22 – vs. #25 FAU, noon
• Saturday, Feb. 22 – at Stetson, 5:30 p.m.
• Sunday, Feb. 23 – vs. LIU, noon

Last Week

• Marist went 3-1 at the Battle at the Beach in Conway, South Carolina,
• The Red Foxes' victories came against Kent State, Notre Dame, and Towson.
  • Isabella Manory's second homer of the game gave the Red Foxes a 6-3 walk-off win against Kent State.
  • Kiley Myers tossed a four-hitter, and Miah McDonald homered in her first two at-bats, as Marist defeated ACC foe Notre Dame 6-0.
  • The Red Foxes rallied from a deficit three times in their 13-9 victory over Towson in eight innings. Manory drove in five.

 

Accolades

• Marist swept this week's Jersey Mike's MAAC Weekly Awards. Manory earned named Player of the Week, Myers was named Pitcher of the Week, and Sienna Kunze won Rookie of the Week.
• Marist checked in at #19 in this week's D1Softball Mid-Major Poll.

 

The Field

• LIU is 1-8 this season, but has faced the likes of Boston College, Boston University, Florida Gulf Coast, Indiana State, Army, and Syracuse.
• Stetson is 8-3 this season, with one loss coming to nationally-ranked Florida. The Hatters went 3-2 in their Hatter Classic last weekend, with victories over MAAC foe Fairfield, Wofford, and Bethune-Cookman.
• FAU is 10-2. The Owls are ranked #25 in the ESPN.com/USA Softball Poll, are receiving votes in the NFCA Top 25 Poll, and are second in the D1Softball Mid-Major Poll. FAU has five wins this season against teams from the ACC, Big 10, Big 12, and SEC (Ole Miss, Kansas, Clemson, Minnesota, and NC State).
