POUGHKEEEPSIE, New York – The Marist softball opens its 2025 season on Thursday, when the Red Foxes play five games from Friday through Sunday at the Texan Classic, hosted by Tarleton State.

• Marist was picked first in the MAAC Preseason Coaches' Poll, earning 11 of a possible 13 first-place votes.
• Miah McDonald was named MAAC Preseason Player of the Year.
• McDonald was one of seven Red Foxes to earn Preseason All-MAAC honors. The list also included Kiley Myers, Haley Ahr, Maddie Pleasants, Peyton Pusey, Anna Sidlowski, and Isabella Manory.
• Ahr was named of the nation's Top 10 Utility Players on D1Softball's list.

 

2024 Recap

• Marist went 36-19 overall last season, and 17-6 in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference play.
• The Red Foxes won the MAAC regular-season championship, and finished fourth at the MAAC Championship.
• Marist swept the conference's major awards:
  • Miah McDonald – Player of the Year
  • Kiley Myers – Co-Pitcher of the Year
  • Haley Ahr – Defensive Player of the Year
  • Anna Sidlowski – Rookie of the Year
  • Joe Ausanio – Coach of the Year
• McDonald, Myers, Ahr, Peyton Pusey, Maddie Pleasants, and Alyssa Grupp were all named First Team All-MAAC.
• Sidlowski and Samantha Rogers were named to the MAAC All-Rookie Team.
• Marist set a program record with six NFCA All-Region honorees:
  • First Team: Haley Ahr, Peyton Pusey
  • Second Team: Miah McDonald, Alyssa Grupp, Maddie Pleasants
