POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist softball team (19-5) returns to action on Friday with a non-conference doubleheader at Patriot League foe Lafayette. First pitch of game one is set for 1 p.m.
 

Last Weekend

• Marist went 5-0 at the Buccaneer Classic, as the Red Foxes earned two victories apiece against Mercyhurst and St. Bonaventure, and one against host East Tennessee State.
• The Red Foxes outscored the opposition 46-4.
• Marist extended its winning streak to eight.

 

Accolades

• Miah McDonald was named MAAC Player of the Week for the second time this season. McDonald hit five home runs and drove in 15 runs last weekend.
• Kiley Myers was named MAAC Pitcher of the Week for the fifth consecutive week. Myers earned victories in both of her appearances. She tossed a one-hitter against Mercyhurst, and she allowed just one run in 11 innings.
• Marist held at #16 in the D1Softball Mid-Major Poll. The Red Foxes have been ranked in the poll all five weeks this season.
