LEXINGTON, Virginia- The Marist water polo team is set for a weekend of MAAC matches, beginning March 15. The Red Foxes continue MAAC play with three matches against Wagner, LIU, and La Salle.

The Red Foxes enter the matches at 10-7 overall and begin official MAAC play with the showcase.

 

Last Time Out

• The Red Foxes split the weekend against Harvard and Brown, both ranked opponents.
  • Game One Vs. #11 Harvard: 13-9, loss
  • Game Two Vs. #20 Brown: 12-10, win
• Inés Sánchez won MAAC Co-Defensive Player of the Week for outstanding performances in net for the Red Foxes.
  • Sanchez collected 28 saves in two matches for the Red Foxes.
• Paige Naegle won MAAC Co-Offensive Player of the Week for a dominant weekend against two ranked opponents.
  • Naegle had four assists for the Red Foxes in their win against 20th ranked Brown, along with a hat trick. Naegle also tallied two assist in the Red Foxes match against Harvard.

  

Scouting #19 Wagner

• Wagner enters the match ranked 19^th overall in the ACWPC rankings.
  • Wagner holds an 8-6 overall record on the 2025 season.
• At the Harvard Invitational, Wagner went 2-2 overall.
  • Match One Vs Siena, 22-9, win
  • Match Two Vs Brown, 13-13, loss/OT
  • Match Three Vs Cal Baptist, 21-18, win
  • Match Four Vs Harvard, 15-6, loss
• Last season, the Red Foxes fell in the 2024 MAAC Championship against Wagner 9-8. This will be the first meeting between the two teams since the Championship.

• LIU enters the Showcase at 9-8 overall on the 2025 season.
• At the Convergence Tournament, the Sharks went 2-2.
  • Match One Vs. Azusa Pacific: 8-7, loss
  • Match Two Vs. Redlands: 19-3, win
  • Match Three Vs. Cal State Monterey Bay, 16-7, win
  • Match Four Vs. LMU: 18-14, loss
• In their last match, the Red Foxes fell to LIU 15-7 on April 6, 2024.

• The Explorers enter the Classic at 7-10 overall on the 2025 season.
• In their last match, the Explorers defeated the Toronto Golden Jets 16-12.
• The Red Foxes defeated La Salle 10-6 at the Bruno Classic this season.
