POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist University softball team is ranked #15 in this week's D1 Softball Mid-Major Poll, which was released on Wednesday morning.
 
The Red Foxes had been ranked #16 each of the previous three weeks. This ranking ties Marist's highest of the season, as the Red Foxes were also ranked 15^th in the first version of the poll on Feb. 12.
 
Marist currently owns the nation's longest winning streak at 13 games. The Red Foxes are 24-5 overall and 3-0 in MAAC play. Marist opened conference play this past week with a three-game sweep at Saint Peter's. The Red Foxes prevailed by scores of 9-0 (five innings), 15-1 (five innings), and 3-0.
 
On Tuesday, Maddie Pleasants was named Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Player of the Week after hitting .600 with three homers and eight RBIs in the Saint Peter's series while also earning a win in the circle. Marist has claimed 14 MAAC weekly awards this season, and the Red Foxes have had the MAAC Player of the Week in all seven weeks.
 
Marist will next play on Sunday at Quinnipiac, which will be a non-conference doubleheader. First pitch of game one is set for noon.
