POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist University softball team's first two home series are moving to the Army West Point Softball Complex due to construction at Gartland Field.
Marist will now face Canisius (two games, April 1) and Fairfield (two games, April 5; one game, April 6) at West Point. The Red Foxes' doubleheader against Canisius will now start at 11 a.m., an hour earlier than the previously listed start time of noon. The game times for the Fairfield series remained unchanged, with first pitch at noon for the April 5 doubleheader and April 6 single game.
- Upon arriving at West Point, all fans age 18 or older must go to the West Point Visitor Control Center for a background check:
- This is accessed through Thayer Gate.
- The address is 2107 New South Post Road, Highland Falls, NY 10928.
- A government-issued ID must be provided. The process, which includes paperwork, takes approximately 10 minutes if the lines are minimal. It is suggested to build in additional time into this process while traveling to West Point.
- The length of a visitor's pass can be for a longer duration if a passport or REAL ID is provided.
- After obtaining the visitor's pass, the softball complex can be accessed through Stony Lonesome Gate.
- The games are free to attend.
- The only pets allowed are service animals. Emotional support animals do not qualify.
- It is permissible to bring in outside food.
- Restrooms are available in Gillis Field House, adjacent to the softball field.
- Live stats will be available for all games, but there will be no video streams.
