PROVIDENCE, Rhode Island- The Marist water polo team played two matches at the Bruno Classic, Saturday night. The Red Foxes split the two matches, defeating #20 Brown 12-10.

The Red Foxes moved to 10-7 overall on the 2025 season.

 

Match One Vs Harvard

• The Red Foxes scored three goals in the first quarter of play, but trailed Harvard 4-3.
• At halftime, the Red Foxes trailed 8-5 against the Crimson in the match.
• The Red Foxes would be limited to one goal in the third quarter and trailed 11-6 going into the final quarter of play.
• The Red Foxes fell 13-9 in the first match of the day against Harvard.

  

Match Two Vs Brown

• At the end of the first quarter of play, the Red Foxes held Brown scoreless and led 3-0 going into the second quarter of play.
• The Red Foxes outscored Brown 4-1 in the second quarter, which tied the game at 4-4 going into the half.
• The Red Foxes would outscore Brown for a second-consecutive quarter in the third quarter. The Red Foxes led 9-5 after three quarters of play.
• The Red Foxes scored three more goals in the fourth quarter and triumphed against Brown 12-10.
