Marist Softball Ranked #15 in This Week’s D1Softball Mid-Major Poll

Red Foxes Have Won 17 Straight, Stand at 28-5 Overall

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist University softball is ranked #15 in this week's D1Softball Mid-Major Poll.
 
This equals the Red Foxes' ranking of #15 last week, and it is tied for Marist's best ranking of the season. Marist has been ranked in all eight weeks this season.
 
Marist is 28-5 this season. The Red Foxes have won 17 straight games, which is the longest active winning streak in Division I. The winning streak is tied for the longest in program history.
 
Marist is coming off a doubleheader sweep against Canisius on Tuesday. The Red Foxes prevailed by scores of 8-0 in five innings, and 11-1 in six innings. Kiley Myers threw her second no-hitter of the season in game one.
 
On Tuesday, Samantha Rogers was named Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Player of the Week. The Red Foxes have had the MAAC Player of the Week in all eight weeks of action this season.
 
Marist returns to action with a three-game series against Fairfield at the Army West Point Softball Complex. The Red Foxes are Stags are scheduled for a doubleheader on Saturday and a single game on Sunday.
