POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – Graduate shortstop
Miah McDonald of the Marist University softball team is ranked among the top collegiate shortstops nationally in both the D1Softball and Softball America Power Rankings for this week.
McDonald is ranked second in the D1Softball Power Rankings, and third in the Softball America Power Rankings.
McDonald is hitting .478 this season with 16 home runs, 45 runs batted in, 48 runs scored, 11 stolen bases, eight doubles, and three triples. She has a 1.573 OPS, with a 1.027 slugging percentage and .546 on-base percentage. McDonald is currently riding a 22-game hitting streak.

Marist (28-5) has the longest active winning streak in the nation at 17 games, which is tied for the longest winning streak in program history. The Red Foxes are ranked #15 this week in the D1Softball Mid-Major Poll.
Marist returns to action this weekend for a three-game series against Fairfield at the Army West Point Softball Complex. A doubleheader is set for Saturday, with a single game on Sunday. First pitch both days is set for noon.
