BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The Marist University softball team had a school-record five First Team National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Region selections, which was announced on Thursday.
 
Haley Ahr, Miah McDonald, Kiley Myers, Maddie Pleasants, and Peyton Pusey all earned the prestigious honor.
 

HALEY AHR

• NCAA leader in batting average (.521).
• Marist's single-season record holder for hits (87).
• Named First Team All-MAAC for the third straight season.
• Earned MAAC All-Championship Team selection this year.
• Was named First Team All-Region in 2024, and Second Team All-Region in 2023.

 

MIAH MCDONALD

• NCAA leader in total bases (178).
• Named MAAC Player of the Year for the second straight year.
• Set program's single-season record and Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference's single-season for home runs this year (24).
• Program's all-time leader in home runs, runs, RBIs, and triples; MAAC all-time leader in runs and RBIs.
• Was named Second Team All-Region in 2024.

 

KILEY MYERS

• First Team All-MAAC & Most Outstanding Player of the MAAC Championship.
• Second in the NCAA in shutouts this season (10).
• Has tied the program's single-season record for wins this season (22).
• MAAC all-time leader in shutouts (22).
• Was named Third Team All-Region in 2024, and Second Team All-Region in 2023.

 

MADDIE PLEASANTS

• Only player in MAAC history to be named Rookie of the Year, Player of the Year, and Pitcher of the Year in her career.
• MAAC Pitcher of the Year & MAAC All-Championship Team selection this year.
• Has tied the program's and MAAC's single-season RBI record (70) this year.
• Ranks third in the NCAA in strikeouts per seven innings, and eighth in home runs.
• Named Second Team All-Region each of the last two years.

 

PEYTON PUSEY

• NCAA leader, Marist's single-season record holder, and MAAC record holder for runs scored in a season this year (77).
• Has set the program's record for runs in a season in back-to-back years.
• First Team All-MAAC honoree each of the last two years.
• MAAC All-Championship Team selection this year.
• First Team All-Region honoree last year, and Second Team All-Region choice in 2023.

 
Marist (47-7-1) opens NCAA Regional play on Friday. The Red Foxes, seeded #3 in the regional, will play #2 Liberty at 1 p.m. The game will be shown on ESPN+.
