POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – Miah McDonald and
Haley Ahr of the Marist University softball team were both named to Softball America's Top 100 players list following the 2025 season.
McDonald was ranked #45, while Ahr checked in at #96.
McDonald was named Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Player of the Year for the second straight season. She was also named ECAC Player of the Year and First Team NFCA All-Region. McDonald led the NCAA in total bases, ranked second in home runs and runs, was third in slugging percentage, and ranked in the top 25 in 11 total categories. She set Marist's single-season record for home runs with 28, which included four in NCAA Regional play. McDonald broke the program's career records for hits, home runs, runs scored, RBIs, and triples this season, and set the MAAC's career records in runs and RBIs.
Ahr led the NCAA with a .508 batting average this season, the highest single-season batting average in program history. She also ranked sixth in hits, 11
th in on-base percentage, and 14
th in toughest to strike out. Ahr was named First Team All-MAAC for the third straight year, and she has been named NFCA All-Region each of the last three years, with a First Team honor the past two seasons. She was also named All-ECAC.
The Marist softball team set a program record with 48 wins this season. The Red Foxes won the MAAC regular-season and tournament championships, and they earned their first victory in NCAA Regional play in program history.
