POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – Jason Myers, a 2013 Marist graduate who played football for the Red Foxes from 2009-12, is set to begin his run in the NFL playoffs with the NFC's top seed.

Myers is in his 11
th season in the NFL and his seventh as the Seattle Seahawks' placekicker. The Seahawks are the #1 seed in the NFC, and their first playoff game will take place on Saturday against the sixth-seeded San Francisco 49ers at 8 p.m. Eastern. The game will be nationally televised on Fox. Should the Seahawks advance, they will host the NFC championship game on Sunday, Jan. 25 at 6:30 p.m. Eastern.

Myers led the NFL with 171 points scored this regular season. He was 41-for-48 on field goal attempts with a long of 57, and he converted all 48 of his extra point attempts.

The 2025 season brought records and notoriety to Myers. He became the Seahawks' all-time leader in field goals made and points. He was named NFC Special Teams Player of the Month for November, and he earned NFC Special Teams Player of the Week after going 6-for-6 on field goals and scoring all 18 of Seattle's points in a victory over Indianapolis.

Myers is a two-time Pro Bowl selection. He first earned the honor in 2018 with the New York Jets, and he received his second berth following the 2022 season with Seattle.

A native of Chula Vista, California, Myers played at Marist from 2009-12. He drilled a game-winning field goal with two seconds left in the Red Foxes' 23-21 victory over Georgetown as a freshman. As a junior, his 49-yard field goal at Davidson set a program record. As a senior, Myers handled the Red Foxes' placekicking, kickoff, and punting duties. He led the Pioneer Football League in touchbacks in 2010, 2011, and 2012. Myers graduated as the Red Foxes' all-time leading scorer among placekickers.
