PRINCETON, New Jersey – The Red Foxes go into the Princeton Invitational and split their games, beating Brown 12-10 and losing to Princeton 14-9.
Paige Naegle led the Red Foxes to another win with four goals and an assist in a 12-10 win over Brown.
Lela McCarroll led the Red Foxes with three goals, but Marist ultimately fell short and lost to Princeton 9-14.
- At the end of the first quarter the Red Foxes took an early 4-2 lead over the Brown Bears.
- In the second, things slowed down and both teams traded goals going into halftime with a score of 5-3.
- Coming out of halftime the offense would pick up on both sides of the ball with each team scoring four goals, making it 9-7 going into the fourth quarter.
- The Red Foxes were able to fend off the Brown Bears in the fourth quarter. Marist would win the match 12-10.
- To start the game, the Red Foxes would get off to a hot start leading 5-2 at the end of the first quarter.
- In the second quarter Marist would fall behind, letting up five goals to their one. The Red Foxes would trail 6-7 going into halftime.
- After halftime Princeton would keep their momentum, and the Red Foxes trailed 8-11 going into the final quarter.
- The Red Foxes would ultimately lose to Princeton by a final score of 9-14.
