SANTA CLARA, CA – The Marist water polo team heads to the west coast for the Brono Invitational in Santa Clara, California.
They will face San Jose State University, CSUN, Santa Clara University, and Pomona-Pitzer from Feb. 13-14.

- Match one vs #20 University of the Pacific: 16-11, win.
- Match two vs #6 Arizona State University: 16-5, loss.
- Match three vs #10 Fresno State: 13-10, win.
- Match four vs #19 San Diego State University: 14-13, win.
- Samantha Bentley won offensive player of the week with eight goals, four assists, and two steals in the four matches.
- Ines Sanchez won defensive player of the week with 31 saves on 51 shots for a save percentage of 60% in the four matches.
- Madilyn Ekstrom won rookie player of the week with three goals, six assists, and four steals in the four matches.
- This match is scheduled for Feb. 13 at 4:00 p.m. ET.
- The Spartans come into this match with a record of 1-6 to start the season.
- They went 0-3 at Polopalooza losing to UC Irvine, Hawaii, and Fresno State.
- They went 1-3 at the Brigitte Donner Daws Memorial Invitational beating Cal State Monterey Bay and losing to Fresno State, UC Davis, and Cal.
- This is the first match between the Red Foxes and Spartans this season.
