POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist University softball team is headed to Tampa, Florida for five games in this weekend's USF Invitational.

• Saturday, Feb. 21: Saint Joseph's (2-4), 11:30 a.m.
• Saturday, Feb. 21: Colgate (3-7), 4:30 p.m.
• Sunday, Feb. 22: Indiana (7-3), 9 a.m.

 
The South Florida game on Feb. 20 will be shown on ESPN+.
 

Last Time Out

• Marist went 2-2 at the Lion Invitational, hosted by East Texas A&M.
• The Red Foxes recorded victories against East Texas A&M and Jackson State.

 

Accolades

• Haley Ahr was named Jersey Mike's MAAC Player of the Week on Tuesday.
  • Ahr hit .500 last weekend, going 7-for-14. She went 4-for-4 with three doubles against Jackson State on Sunday, including a walk-off double in the bottom of the seventh.
  • This was Ahr's 15^th career MAAC weekly award, and her 10^th career Player of the Week honor.
• Stella Blanchard was named Jersey Mike's MAAC Pitcher of the Week on Tuesday.
  • Blanchard was 2-0 with a 0.66 ERA in two appearances last week. She pitched a four-hitter with nine strikeouts against East Texas A&M, and she struck out six without allowing an earned run in 3.2 innings of relief against Jackson State.
  • This was Blanchard's first career MAAC weekly award.
• Peyton Pusey became the first player in conference and school history to score her 200^th career run last weekend.

 

Stats

• Ahr leads the Red Foxes in batting average (.438) and hits (14).
• Annabelle Geiser has scored a team-high nine runs.
• Pusey has a team-best seven stolen bases.
• Samantha Rogers leads Marist in RBIs (11). She is tied for the team lead in home runs (two) with Isabella Manory, who has a team-best 1.346 OPS.
• From the pitching side, Blanchard leads the Red Foxes in wins (three), innings pitched (21.2), strikeouts (21), and ERA (1.62).
• In five of Marist's nine games this season, the winning run was scored in a team's final at bat. The Red Foxes are 2-3 in these games.

• Marist will play in the Garnet & Black Invitational, hosted by South Carolina, from Feb. 27 through March 1.
• The Red Foxes will play two games against South Carolina, two against UAB, and one against Queens University (Charlotte).
