POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist University softball team (5-8) will play five games against strong competition in this weekend's Garnet & Black Invitational, hosted by the University of South Carolina.

• Haley Ahr set Marist's all-time hits record on Feb. 21 against Colgate. She now has 246 hits in her career.
• Livia Wiltsie was named Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week this past week. Wiltsie became the fourth Red Fox to earn a MAAC weekly award this season, following the selections of Annabelle Geiser (Rookie of the Week, Feb. 10), Haley Ahr (Player of the Week, Feb. 17), and Stella Blanchard (Pitcher of the Week, Feb. 17).
• On Feb. 14 against Southeast Missouri State, Peyton Pusey became the first player in MAAC history to score 200 runs in her career.

• Marist has never faced UAB.
• Marist has faced South Carolina and Queens each once before, with both games occurring in 2023.
  • On Feb. 18, Queens defeated Marist 7-6 in a tournament at Winthrop.
  • On May 20, South Carolina prevailed 2-1 in NCAA Regional play at Florida State.
