POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – Marist Water Polo took on the Iona University Gaels in a MAAC rematch Wednesday evening. The Red Foxes would fight hard and win the match by a score of 14-11.
 
Paige Naegle and Kendell De Beer led the Red Foxes in this match with three goals apiece.
Emily Scheerer and Samantha Bentley would also get on the board scoring two goals each and Anita Radaelli scored one.
 

SUMMARY

• In the first quarter it was back and forth between the Red Foxes and Gaels, but Iona would come away with a 4-3 lead.
• The second quarter was hard fought with Marist scoring three and Iona scoring two. The match was tied at six going into halftime.
• After half the Red Foxes picked up the momentum, scoring four goals to lead by 10-7 going into the final quarter.
• Marist would take full control in the fourth quarter, scoring four goals to win by a score of 14-11.
