VILLANOVA, Pennsylvania – Marist Water Polo hits the road, heading to the Villanova Invitational. They will play two matches this weekend against Virginia Military Institute and Mount St. Mary's. The Red Foxes come into this one with a 17-4 overall record.
 

LAST TIME OUT

• Marist returned home for a midweek matchup where they defeated Iona by a score of 14-11.
• The first half was back and forth before the Red Foxes picked up the momentum in the second half to secure the win.
• Paige Naegle and Kendell De Beer both recorded three goals in the win over the Gaels.

 

SCOUTING VMI

• This match is slated for 5:00 p.m. ET on Saturday.
• The Viginia Military Institute comes into this one with an overall record of 6-7.
• Most recently they faced off with Brown and Harvard where they lost both matches.
  • Match one vs Brown: 24-8, loss.
  • Match two vs Harvard: 23-7, loss.
• This is the first meeting between Marist and VMI this season.

SCOUTING MOUNT ST. MARY'S

• This match will take place at 11:00 a.m. ET on Sunday.
• The Mount comes into this one with a 5-9 overall record.
• Most recently they went 3-1 at the Convergence Invitational.
  • Match one vs Biola: 15-14, win.
  • Match two vs Fullerton: 5-4, loss.
  • Match three vs Whittier: 17-6, win.
  • Match four vs Chapman: 13-10, win.
• This is the first match between the Red Foxes and Mountaineers this season.
