VILLANOVA, Pennsylvania – Marist Water Polo had another perfect weekend going 2-0 against Virginia Military Institute and Mount St. Mary's. The Red Foxes improve to 19-4 on the season.
In the first match 13 different Red Foxes scored a goal in a big 27-13 win, highlighted by
Anita Radaelli with six goals and three assists and Kendall De Beer with five goals.
In the second match the Red Foxes stayed hot outscoring the Mount one quarter at a time to win their 19
th match of the season by a final score of 14-8.
- Marist took a big lead early, scoring 10 goals in the first quarter while only letting up four.
- In the second quarter, the offense calmed down but the Red Foxes still outscored VMI 4-2, making the score 14-6.
- After halftime, Marist kept their momentum, scoring another seven goals to now lead 21-11.
- In the fourth quarter the Red Foxes maintained a strong lead to win the match by a final score of 27-13.
- In the first quarter, the Red Foxes jumped out to an early lead, scoring five goals, making the score 5-2.
- Marist kept the momentum in the second quarter, scoring another two goals while only allowing one, making it 7-3 going into halftime.
- After the half the Red Foxes kept things up, outscoring the Mount in the third quarter 3-2.
- In the fourth quarter Marist maintained the lead to win the match by a final score of 14-8.
- The Red Foxes return home for the Marist Invitational where they will face Villanova on Saturday, March 21, and Wagner on Sunday, March 22.
