LONDONVILLE, New York – Marist Water Polo battled against Siena Wednesday evening. The Red Foxes put on an offensive show in route to a big 20-9 win. The Red Foxes advance to 22-4 on the season.
Three Red Foxes led the offense with three goals apiece by
Kendell De Beer,
Lela McCarroll, and
Paige Naegle.
Emily Scheerer scored two goals for Marist with seven other Red Foxes finding the back of the net.
- In the first quarter Marist took an early lead with five goals while only letting up two to the Saints.
- The second quarter was back and forth with Siena scoring four goals, but the Red Foxes stayed ahead, scoring five. 10-6 Marist going into halftime.
- Ines Sanches shut out Siena in the third quarter while being backed by her offense scoring another five goals to make it 15-6.
- The Red Foxes stayed hot in the fourth quarter, scoring another five goals and holding off the Saints to win by a final score of 20-9.
- The Red Foxes head to Lexington Virginia for two matches on Saturday March 28th.
- Marist will face La Salle University and Long Island University.
