Marist Water Polo Prepares for the MAAC Championships

The Red Foxes Take on La Salle in Round One on Saturday

POGHKEEPSIE, New York – After a dominant regular season, Marist Water Polo gets ready for the MAAC Championships this weekend, April 11-12. The Red Foxes finished the regular season with a phenomenal 24-5 overall record and a perfect 8-0 conference record.

REGULAR SEASON OVERVIEW
  • The Red Foxes started the season with three straight wins while taking down two ranked opponents, Wagner and Brown, in the process before dropping their first match to #13 ranked Princeton.
  • Following a hot start, Marist would go onto win three of their next five matches, highlighted by a big upset win over #10 ranked Fresno State on February 8.
  • The Red Foxes than ripped a hot streak of six straight wins, outscoring opponents 84-53 along the way. This win streak would come to an end when they lost to #13 Harvard in early March.
