POUGHKEEPSIE, New York - The championship round of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Softball Championship has been postponed to Sunday at 9 a.m.
The Marist University softball team advanced to the championship round following Friday's 12-7 victory over Iona in the winners' bracket final. Iona then defeated Quinnipiac in the elimination brack to reach the championship round.
If Marist defeats Iona on Sunday at 9, the Red Foxes will win their second straight conference championship, and third in the last four years. If Iona wins at 9 a.m., there will be a winner-take-all championship game following shortly thereafter.

- Defeated Quinnipiac 6-5 (eight innings) on Friday.
