Red Foxes Open 2026 Campaign With the Marist Season Opener

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY. – The Marist men's and women's cross-country team will host its 2026 season home opener in Poughkeepsie, New York, at Vassar Farms.
 
WOMEN'S HISTORY AT MARIST HOME INVITE
  • The Marist women's cross-country team competed at the Marist Home Invite last on Aug. 30th, 2025.  
  • The Red Foxes as a team won the event
  • The women's team took home first overall with a total of 30 points, putting them ten points ahead of second place Fairfield and 55 ahead of third place Iona. 
  • On par for senior day, Senior Parker O'Brien brought home the win with a time of 18:51.4 in the 5k. 
  • Emily Litke stole third with her PR of 19:00.7. Julia Zydanowicz followed closely behind coming in at 19:04.2 for fourth place overall.
     
MEN'S HISTORY AT MARIST HOME INVITE
  • The Marist men's cross-country team competed at the Marist Home Invite last on Aug. 30th, 2025
  • The men's team took home first overall with a total of 34 points, putting them 20 points ahead of second place Iona. 
  • The freshmen stole the show for the men, earning the team's two top finishes. 
  • Isaac Gross led the way with a first place overall finish with a time of 19:19.7. 
  • Chase Kober came in at 19:40.4, earning him second for Marist and fourth overall at his first collegiate race.
  • Sophomores Sanjith Nomula (6th) and Kevin Cannon (13th) both raced PRs with times of 19:42.5 and 19:51.1.  
UP NEXT
  • The Red Foxes will compete next on Sept. 19th, at the Jasper Invitational.
  • This meet will be held at Blue Sky Sports Complex in Middletown, NY.
