October 21, 2000 -- The Loyola College Greyhounds defeated the Marist College women's volleyball team in three straight games (15-5, 15-3, 15-6) today on the campus of Marist College. Marist falls to 0-17 on the season while Loyola advances to 12-10 overall and 4-0 in the MAAC.

The Red Foxes were led by freshman Christina Brozek (Fair Lawn, NJ/Fair Lawn) who registered six kills and four digs on the day while senior Heidi Hildebrandt (Kenmore, NY/Kenmore-Royalton) tallied six blocks (1 solo, 5assisted). Senior Heidi Backlund (Vancouver, WA/Columbia River) recorded 18 set assists off of Marist's 22 kills.

Loyola's Carisa Kreichauf led the Greyhounds with 17 kills and 11 digs while racking up a total of five blocks. Setter Lincy Chacko led Loyola with 39 assists.

The Red Fox volleyball team will play their final home match of the season tomorrow, Sunday, October 22 at 2:00 in the McCann Center when they take on the Broncs of Rider University.
