Poughkeepsie, NY---Marist College men's soccer players, seniors Carlos DeBrito (Union, NJ) and Joe Crespo (Bolton, Conn.), were named First Team All-New York State, by the NSCAA, it was announced Friday, November 30th.
A high school graduate of St. Benedict's Prep, Red Foxes' starting goalkeeper DeBrito played 1,401:01 minutes. In that time he made 127 saves, averaging 7.94 per game and was ranking him first in the nation in that category in games through November 25th. He also had a goals against average of 1.92 allowing 30 goals on the year, garnering Second Team All-MAAC honors.
Hailing from Bolton High School, Crespo was one of the top midfielder's for Marist. He led the Red Foxes in scoring this season compiling 18 points, scoring five goals and having eight assists. Crespo, Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Preseason Player of the Year, was the MAAC Player of the Week in the first week of regular season play, and earned First Team All-MAAC accolades.
The Red Foxes finished fifth overall in the regular season with an overall record of 9-6-1, and a conference record of 4-4-1.
